Minecraft Education Edition – Alapan 1 Elementary School
Minecraft Education Edition is a game-based learning platform that promotes creativity, collaboration and problem-solving in an immersive digital environment. Educators around the world use Minecraft Education Edition to engage students across subjects and bring abstract concepts to life.
Minecraft Education is available for anyone to try for free! There are two ways to try Minecraft: Education for free, for a free trial, or for a demo course. The free trial requires you to have an account, Office 365 Education account, or a Microsoft 365 account. The demo course does not require an account or log-in. This article provides information on how to use the free trial and demo tutorial.
Minecraft Education Edition can be played on Chromebook, iPad, Mac, and PC. Before trying Minecraft: Education Edition, check the System Requirements article to ensure your device is supported.

If you have an Office 365 Education account or a Microsoft 365 account, follow these steps to start a free trial.
- From the Find Minecraft: Education Edition download page, select the Minecraft: Education version to download that works with your device.
- Install the version of Minecraft: Education Edition that you downloaded.
- Launch and sign in to Minecraft: Education for information on your Office 365 Education account (this may be your school email) or information for your Microsoft 365 account.
Demo courses allow you to try Minecraft: Education free of charge and without an account. Each demo course has limited functionality: for example the worlds and progression cannot be saved, and it is not possible to join or host a multiplayer game. Playing a demo lesson allows you the opportunity to learn a real lesson in Minecraft: Education. There is no limit to the number of times you play each demo session.
Follow these steps to try a demo lesson:
1. From the Minecraft: Education Edition download page, select the Minecraft: Education Edition version to download that works with your device.
2. Install the version of Minecraft: Education that you downloaded.
3. Introduce Minecraft: Education and, on the Welcome to Minecraft: Education Edition screen, select If you do not have an account, try a demo course.
4. To view the license agreement, select View Terms.
5. When you are ready to play, select Accept Goals and Play.
6. Select Start Lesson.
Note: Lessons with lock overlay can be accessed by logging in to the game via a licensed account or eligible for testing.
