Online Civil Service Exam Application: Process and Requirements

Online Civil Service Exam Application

The Civil Service Examination (CSE), also known as the Career Service Examination, is an annual eligibility test for people who desire to work for the government. The Public Service Commission (CSC), the constitutional body in charge of regulating governmental operations, administers it as a means of vetting and choosing potential civil workers. Everyone who wants a position in the government must pass the CSE. Civil Service Examination (CSE) is conducted twice a year by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) to figure out whether or not an applicant is eligible to work in the government.

There are two types of CSE:
1. Sub-Professional Level
This level is intended for candidates interested in first-level government occupations, which involve administrative and clerical duties. There are 165 items in the test, which has a two-hour and forty-minute time limit.

2. Professional Level
On the other hand, this exam type is made to enable successful candidates to apply for both first- and second-level government positions. This covers openings for both administrative and managerial positions. A candidate for the professional exam must have completed a four-year degree, unlike the sub-professional level. The time allotted for the test itself is lengthier (three hours and 10 minutes), and there are 170 items total.
