The National Achievement Test for Grade 12 is considered an exit assessment for all Senior High Schools. The Department of Education (DepEd) used the National Achievement Test (NAT) to assess the percentage of minimum level of proficiency in the Stage 4 SHS core areas. Evaluating learners’ performance in important areas will best describe their actual learning. Test results can still be instructive and helpful in determining the general state of education. However, they might not provide a complete picture. The Computer-Based NAT for Grade 12 or CB-NATG12 is scheduled on its testing window of March 9-18, 2026.
The Department of Education (DepEd) is adopting the enclosed Policy Guidelines on the National Assessment of Student Learning for the K to 12 Basic Education Program. Assessment is the process of measuring learners’ progress in the attainment of learning standards and 21st century skills. The results of the various forms of assessment shall be used to quantify judgments on learners’ academic performance.
