The Metrobank-DepEd MTAP Math Challenge is a nationwide contest for Elementary and Junior High School learners in private and public schools. The Metrobank MTAP Math Challenge is said to be conducted next month, March 2025. Thus, we collected and shared our 2025 MTAP Grade 5 Reviewer here for free download. It is implemented by the Metrobank Foundation, Inc. (MBFI) and the Department of Education (DepEd) which aims to contribute to improving the quality of education in the Philippines.

What is Metrobank-DepEd MTAP Challenge?

The Department of Education (DepEd) administers the Mathematics Teachers Association of the Philippines (MTAP) contest. This is an annual competition that aims to encourage learners to excel in mathematics and develop their problem-solving skills. The competition is open to students from grades 1-12 in both public and private schools.

The Metrobank-DepEd MTAP for the Grade 5 contest covers number sense, including place value, prime numbers, and basic operations. It includes patterns, algebra, and simple equations. Geometry topics cover angles, perimeter, area, and volume. Students also learn statistics, probability, and data interpretation. The test improves problem-solving and logical thinking skills.
