Welcome to our updated Grade 3 Daily Lesson Log (DLL) for Quarter 4, School Year 2025–2026, created under the Matatag Curriculum. Starting this year, the new curriculum for Grade 3 officially rolls out, following DepEd Order No. 10, s. 2024. We made this free DLL to help teachers plan lessons faster and spend more time teaching and engaging with students. It’s designed to give you a more accurate, updated, and easy-to-use version that follows the latest DepEd format.
Quarter 4 of the Grade 3 MATATAG Curriculum sharpens learners’ skills by moving them from basic understanding to confident application across subjects. In English and Filipino, pupils read longer texts, identify key ideas, and express opinions clearly through oral and written tasks. Mathematics deepens problem-solving as learners work with multiplication, division, fractions, and real-life word problems. Science focuses on observing patterns in plants, animals, and the environment, encouraging curiosity and simple investigations. Throughout these lessons, teachers emphasize clear communication, logical thinking, and the responsible use of knowledge in daily situations.
What is the Matatag Curriculum for Grade 3?
The Grade 3 Matatag Curriculum employs its Instructional Design Framework, that composed of three essential pillars: Curriculum, Teaching, and Assessment. It is rooted in the principle of optimal learning, helping teachers achieve the target competencies. At the same time, the Matatag Curriculum places learners at the center of designing learning content and strategies.
The success of this curriculum depends on the teacher’s holistic approach and attention to innovation and learner-centeredness. So, the teachers should adapt their Daily Lesson Log (DLL) to include pedagogical methods and strategies that keep learners actively engaged. Therefore, the teaching-learning process should primarily focus on developing critical thinking and essential skills as the foundation of classroom activities.

The Matatag Curriculum includes Grade 3, which treats it as a springboard to formal schooling. At this grade level, teachers begin to deliver instruction with subjects taught separately, giving learners their first exposure to this format. It is a crucial stage in the learning journey where pupils must begin to establish their foundational skills.
As in the previous grade levels, the learning areas have been reduced to only five. The Grade 3 Matatag Curriculum no longer includes MAPEH and Mother Tongue as separate subjects. You can refer to the table below for a sample classroom program for Grade 3. The table includes additional intervention sessions such as the NRP (National Reading Program) and NMP (National Mathematics Program).
