The Department of Social Welfare and Development has announced that it is ready to provide its Educational Cash Assistance under the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) program. DSWD’s Educational Assistance will be provided to Elementary, High School and College students. This is a great help for our poor countrymen who are trying to finish their studies. According to the announcement of Social Welfare Secretary that they will start giving out Educational Assistance every start of School Year. He also added that the DSWD Educational Assistance is part of AICS or Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) program which the congress allocates billions in GAA.
“Samantala, isinasagawa naman sa mga Field Offices ng Kagawaran ang distribusyon para sa mga nasa probinsiya kasabay ang iba pang tulong sa ilalim ng programang AICS,” pahayag ng Kalihim.
How do you get this Educational Assistance? You can go to the DSWD Central Office or the DSWD Field Offices in your area. Further, you can download DSWD Educational Assistance 2025 Application Form (click here) before proceeding to the nearest field office. Also, you can also email your request to ciu.co@dswd.gov.ph and wait for their text confirmation for the place and day of your pay-out. Don’t forget to bring your school ID or Enrollment Form or any other document that proves the child is enrolled. Up to 3 children in a family can receive Educational Assistance.

Qualifications for DSWD Educational Assistance
The students who can receive it are the following:
- breadwinners,
- working students,
- Orphaned or abandoned living with relatives
- child of single parents,
- the parent is unemployed
- children of OFWs,
- child of an HIV victim
- victim of abuse
- victims of disasters or calamities

- Elementary Learner – 1,000 pesos
- Junior High School Learner – 2,000 pesos
- Senior High School Learner – 3,000 pesos
- Vocational/ College Learner – 4,000 pesos
