National Educators Academy of the Philippines (NEAP), Bureau of Curriculum Development (BCD), and Bureau of Learning Delivery (BLD) launched different virtual training for In-Service Training 2024. From November 25-29, 2024, we invite you, as public teachers or participants from private schools, to participate in these trainings. The NEAP training for INSET 2024 will focus on the Master Classes for Kindergarten, Grades 1, 4, and 7 (K147). Further, it also offers other programs as additional training during this one-week-long INSET (In-Service Training).
The department assessed the need for skills development to help in the implementation of the revised K-12 Basic Education Curriculum. Teachers commonly know this curriculum as the MATATAG Curriculum. The main objective of INSET is to upgrade the quality and competence of teaching and non-teaching personnel congruent with professional standards (DM-OUHROD-2024-2306). The main component of INSET, called Masterclass, is divided into grade levels that adopt the MATATAG Curriculum. It aimed to impart new teaching methodologies for literacy and numeracy learning especially for Kindergarten and Grade 1. While, for Grade 4 and 7, the trainings are mainly an introductions to new teaching integration.
The main provider of this year’s INSET is provided by NEAP with the help of the different school divisions. The Professional Regulation Commission credits the In-Service Training programs with CPD Units and registers them. As a result, you can use INSET SY 2024-2025 for professional advancement and, most importantly, to comply with CPD requirements. The Department of Education anticipates that its personnel will actively participate in the nationwide training.
