The Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is a process of tracking and documenting the skills and training that a professional has acquired. According to the CPD Act of 2016, the Professional Regulation Commission is mandated to regulate the efficient practice of all professions. The renewal cycle for professional teachers is every 3 years. Thus, teachers must accumulate 15 units before renewing their license. However, in the transition period granted temporary relief because of the Pandemic. For example, if you lack 5 points for your renewal before December 2024, you are still allowed to renew. You might search now for a free CPD training for your PRC license renewal. In general, few institutions offer free training with CPD units. The most common is SEAMEO INNOTECH, with its five PRC-accredited online courses with 15 CPD units each. These online courses, like Teach On, GURO21, and Courses 1 & 2, are free. However, if you are late for a slot in SEAMEO, you can try the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU).
