Grade 6 Daily Lesson Log (DLL) – Quarter 3 SY 2025–2026 (Updated)

As the new school year starts, teachers and learners are eager to begin another exciting journey toward success. This year brings several updates in teaching and learning as the Department of Education starts Phase 2 of the K to 10 MATATAG Curriculum. While this phase mainly covers specific grade levels, it may also affect Grade 6. However, the old MELCs-based K to 12 Basic Education Program, first used during the pandemic, will still be followed for School Year 2025–2026. We know that these ongoing changes can be confusing, especially for Grade 6 teachers wondering which guidelines to use. That’s why we created a ready-to-use Grade 6 Daily Lesson Log (DLL) for Quarter 3. These DLLs are crafted to help you stay guided and confident in your classroom planning.

Remember, based on DepEd Order No. 10, series of 2024, Grade 6 will continue to follow the Most Essential Learning Competencies (MELCs) for School Year 2025–2026. The Daily Lesson Log (DLL) is an important teaching tool that serves as a clear guide for our classroom interactions. It is used in various parts of the teaching-learning process, including pre-discussion, the actual lesson, and assessment. In addition, this simple document is considered a plan that outlines how, when, and what to teach to achieve meaningful learning. The DLLs we uploaded here are safe to download and use. You are also free to revise their content or teaching methodologies to better fit your teaching style.

What’s New in our Daily Lesson Log or DLL for School Year 2025-2026

The Daily Lesson Log (DLL) is an essential tool in the Philippine education system that supports effective teaching and learning. Its primary purpose is to help teachers organize and structure their daily lessons in alignment with the curriculum, particularly the Most Essential Learning Competencies (MELCs) or the updated Matatag Curriculum.

SRI 2025

By providing a clear guide for each day’s instruction, including learning objectives, content, strategies, and assessment. The DLL ensures that lessons are delivered systematically and in a meaningful way. It also serves as a form of documentation and accountability, allowing school heads and DepEd supervisors to monitor classroom instruction and ensure curriculum coverage. Additionally, the DLL encourages teacher reflection, helping educators assess the effectiveness of their teaching methods and identify areas for improvement.

It also promotes collaboration among teachers, allowing them to share and align lesson plans to maintain consistency across classes. Overall, the DLL plays a vital role in enhancing instructional quality and ensuring that students receive well-prepared and competency-based education.
