The Board of Architecture conducted the Architect Licensure Exam (ALE) on June 8 and 10, 2026, across the country. Chairman Robert Sac, along with members Robert Mirafuente and Corazon Fabia-Tandoc, led the administration of the exam The ALE took place in the following testing centers: NCR, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.
The Architect Licensure Exam (ALE) evaluates an aspiring architect’s theoretical knowledge and practical skills through a two-day exam composed of six subject areas. Day 1 covers History and Theory of Architecture, Principles of Planning, and Architecture Practice, as well as Utilities Systems, Structural Conceptualization, and Building Materials and Construction.

On the other hand, the focus of Day 2 is Architectural Design and Site Planning. In this part, the examinees are required to produce design solutions based on specific site and functional requirements. The exam combines multiple-choice questions and a design project, with a passing requirement of at least 70% average and no grade lower than 50% in any subject.

Passing Rate in Previous ALE
The data on Architect Licensure Exam (ALE) results from January 2020 to January 2025 reveal fluctuating passing rates, with a general trend of moderate consistency around the 60% mark. In August 2021, the PRC recorded the highest passing rate at 65.96%, although only 849 examinees took the exam, possibly due to pandemic-related restrictions.
