Every March, there are different Fire Prevention Awareness Campaigns done by governmental bodies including our Department of Education. It is said to be in this month when temperature and humidity start to rise according to Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA). This leads to a higher possibility of fire incidents, especially in the population centers. In that sense, our school also ensures the safety of our facilities from fire incidents. The Bureau of Fire Protection of Imus City inspected the electrical connection of Alapan 1 ES today, February 17, 2022. This inspection is part of the school’s safety monitoring activities for fire prevention and fire suppression.
SFO2 Alex Tapia and FO1 Alfred Alcorte walk with School Security Coordinator Mr. Ferdinand Pangan to check the different breakers of buildings around the school and the wiring connections from the electrical post outside. As the data from various studies, unchecked faulty wiring and improper use of electrical equipment are the main reason for fire incidents to happen. In addition, the visit is also to check the safety of the entire school for the upcoming 2022 National election on the 9th of May this year.
Alapan 1 Elementary School always prioritized the safety of its personnel, learners, and other stakeholders. We are also committed to raise public awareness about fire safety and prevention. Let us work hand in hand towards a Fire Safe School.
