Highlights of Week 2 of Quarter 1
The Department of Education expects the administration of various BoSY (Beginning of the School Year) assessments. Teachers use these assessments to identify potential literacy, numeracy, and even psychological difficulties among learners. For example, they implement the Phil-IRI and CRLA at different grade levels to assess literacy and reading skills. These assessments aim to classify learners’ literacy and reading skills, helping teachers plan and implement appropriate interventions.
On the other hand, there is also an assessment specifically designed to identify various numeracy challenges.
