According to Circular Letter 17 s. 2024, DepEd teachers and other government employees will receive their Productivity Enhancement Incentive (PEI) for 2024. The government will grant the PEI uniformly to all employees, with each receiving ₱5,000. The release of the PEI is scheduled for no earlier than December 15, 2024.

The Productivity Enhancement Incentive (PEI) 2024 is an important part of the government’s efforts to reward and motivate public sector employees for their performance. It aims to encourage higher productivity, accountability, and efficiency within government agencies. While the Performance-Based Incentive System (PBIS), which includes the PEI, was introduced under Executive Order No. 80, s. 2012, its implementation was temporarily suspended in June 2024 with the issuance of EO No. 61. Currently, a Technical Working Group (TWG) is reviewing the system to improve and streamline the process, with hopes of reinstating the PEI and ensuring that employees are fairly recognized for their contributions to public service.
Who will receive the PEI Bonus 2024?
All positions of civilian and military personnel, whether regular, casual, or contractual in nature, appointive or elective, full-time or part-time, now existing or hereafter created in the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial Branches, the Constitutional Commissions and other Constitutional Offices, SUCs, GOCCs not covered by Republic Act (RA) No. 10149, which are under the jurisdiction of the Department of Budget and Management (DBM), and LWDs; and in LGUs. Also, employees must:
1. The employees are still in the service as of November 30 of the current year; and
2. The employees have rendered at least a total or an aggregate of four (4) months of at least satisfactory service as of November 30 of the current year, including leaves of absence with pay.
When to receive the Productivity Enhancement Incentive 2024?
The Productivity Enhancement Incentive of P5,000 shall be given to personnel not earlier than December 15 of the current year. In such, for the current Fiscal Year 2024, the Productivity Enhancement Incentive (PEI) Bonus 2024 will be given starting December 15, 2024.
