2025 DepEd Summer Programs

The Department of Education (DepEd) remains committed to take all possible opportunity in addressing learning loss and learning gaps. This learning gaps are evidently showed in different national and international assessments. As part of this effort of the DepEd, all public schools shall offer Summer Programs for learners in upcoming School Year 2025-2026. The Department of Education includes these programs as part of the Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning (ARAL) initiative and treats them purely as remediation. Schools will not assign grades to learners who participate in these programs. Instead, these aim to proactively prepare learners for success in the upcoming school year.

There are various activities for intervention, enrichment, and remediation will be offered at the DepEd Summer Programs. These programs included Bawat Bata Makababasa Program, Literacy Remediation Program, 2025 Learning Camp and the like. Intervention exercises help students who struggle to understand classroom concepts. Enrichment programs give learners the chance to explore subjects that interest them further. Students who have fallen behind in their studies might catch up with them with the aid of remediation programs.

The DepEd Summer Programs will be held in both online and face-to-face learning mode. Students who choose to participate in the online format will have access to a variety of learning resources, including video tutorials, interactive exercises, and quizzes. Students who choose to participate in the face-to-face format will attend classes at their local schools. The Summer Programs are voluntary for learners and teachers. However, schools encourage learners with low grades to participate, as their performance may impact their promotion to the next grade level. Teachers who volunteer for the Summer Programs will receive additional leave credits.
