How to Administer the DepEd RMA

- Before the Test
a. Study the toolkit and understand all tasks in the Teacher’s Booklet.
b. Prepare all materials needed, including writing tools and score sheets.
c. Choose a quiet, comfortable space with good ventilation.
d. Make sure each task can be timed accurately (assign a timekeeper if possible). - During the Test
a. Greet the learner and build rapport for 1–2 minutes to make them feel at ease.
b. Clearly explain the following:
*This test won’t affect their grade, but they should try their best.
*Some tasks require oral answers, others need written responses.
*Each task has a time limit.
c. Read the task instructions. Use the learner’s local language if needed.
d. Allow the learner to answer within the time limit.

What’s New in Rapid Mathematics Assessment (RMA) for SY 2025-2026
The Rapid Mathematics Assessment (RMA) is expected to be administered nationwide from June 16 to July 16, 2025. The assessment tools and booklets remain the same as those used in previous school year administrations, focusing on fundamental numeracy skills such as the four basic operations. In addition, the manner of administration remains unchanged. However, the RMA scoresheet, including the school consolidator, has been revised to make reporting easier.
The RMA Excel Scoresheet is a well-organized tool designed for recording, tracking, and summarizing learners’ performance in the Rapid Mathematics Assessment. It includes sheets for individual scoring, language references, and a class summary that auto-generates key statistics like total assessed and average scores.
