This page provides the download links for the 2nd Periodical Test Questionnaire, Table of Specifications (TOS), and Answer Key for Grade 2, aligned with the MATATAG Curriculum. The 2nd Periodical Test is set for October 23 and 24, 2025, and teachers are now actively preparing their test materials and TOS. To make this process easier, we’re offering ready-made questionnaires that you can download and use for your classroom assessments. After the testing period, learners can look forward to a Mid-School Year Break from October 27–31, 2025, followed by the Halloween season, giving everyone time to rest and recharge before the next quarter begins.
In the 2nd quarter of Grade 2 under the Matatag curriculum, students focus on learning addition and subtraction with bigger numbers and understanding place value in Mathematics. In English, they improve their reading skills, learn new words, and write simple sentences. The students read and write short stories and learn new words when they are in Language subject. Makabansa introduces community roles and basic map skills. Values Education teaches good behavior and respect.

During this quarter, learners should review lessons about verbs and their correct usage in English and Filipino or Mother Tongue. Practice identifying and using action words in sentences, conversations, and storytelling. In Mathematics, revisit lessons about basic operations, problem-solving, and recognizing shapes and time in real-life situations. Emphasis should be on applying learned skills both in academic tasks and daily experiences.
