Thus, it is important to plan carefully through the DLL to make the week engaging and productive. A well-structured plan also allows educators to monitor student progress and ensure that lessons lead toward the intended learning outcomes. To support teachers in this process, the Daily Lesson Log (DLL) for Week 7 of Quarter 3 (December 15–19, 2025) is now available for free download for all grade levels.
This week’s DLL encourages teachers to connect lessons with the season’s meaningful activities. The week is often filled with various Christmas-related celebrations, such as year-end parties for teachers, PTA gatherings, and classroom festivities. It also provides an opportunity to integrate the Firecrackers Injury Prevention Month Celebration, allowing teachers to promote safety awareness, responsible behavior, and injury prevention as the holidays approach. By linking lessons to these timely themes, students can learn practical life skills while enjoying the spirit of the season.
Using the DLL, teachers can plan activities that not only develop academic skills but also foster values and social responsibility. This tool guides educators in designing lessons that engage students in purposeful learning while linking classroom instruction to real-world events and national or global observances, making learning both relevant and meaningful.

Overview About the Matatag Curriculum
The Department of Education launched a revised version of the K-12 Basic Education Curriculum aimed at narrowing the competencies. The MATATAG Curriculum, whose name is derived from the department’s MATATAG Agenda, includes the following core principles:
- Make the curriculum relevant to produce competent, job-ready, active, and responsible citizens;
- Take steps to accelerate the delivery of basic education facilities and services.
- Take good care of learners by promoting learner well-being, inclusive education, and a positive learning environment; and
- Give support to teachers to teach better.
