DLL Week 8 of Quarter 3 January 5-9, 2026 | Daily Lesson Log

This week marks the resumption of classes after the long Christmas break, a critical period as students and teachers transition back to regular learning routines. With the 3rd Periodical Test at the end of the month, careful planning and structured instruction are essential to ensure that teaching remains focused, engaging, and productive. The Daily Lesson Log (DLL) serves as a vital tool for organizing lessons, monitoring student progress, and keeping learning aligned with intended outcomes. To assist educators in this process, the Daily Lesson Log (DLL) for Week 8 of Quarter 3 (January 5–9, 2026) is now available for free download for all grade levels.

This week’s DLL encourages teachers to connect lessons with relevant national observances and academic priorities. The celebration of Zero Waste Month and Food Conservation Month provides meaningful opportunities to promote environmental responsibility, sustainable practices, and mindful consumption among learners. In addition, the DLL supports preparation for the National Achievement Test (NAT) for Grade 12 by incorporating review activities, skill reinforcement, and assessment-based strategies. By integrating these timely themes, teachers can help students develop practical life skills while strengthening their academic readiness for the upcoming periodical test.

Using the DLL, teachers can plan activities that not only develop academic skills but also foster values and social responsibility. This tool guides educators in designing lessons that engage students in purposeful learning while linking classroom instruction to real-world events and national or global observances, making learning both relevant and meaningful.
