Grade 6 Daily Lesson Log (DLL) – Quarter 4 SY 2025–2026 (Updated)

As Grade 6 enters Quarter 4 under the MATATAG Curriculum, the focus sharpens on readiness, relevance, and reflection as learners prepare for the transition to junior high school. This quarter emphasizes the integration of essential skills and concepts that learners have developed throughout the year, encouraging them to apply knowledge in more meaningful and practical ways. Classroom activities highlight critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication, allowing pupils to connect lessons to real-life situations and community contexts. The curriculum promotes confidence and independence as learners take greater ownership of their learning tasks and outputs.

Quarter 4 also strengthens values formation and responsible citizenship by reinforcing discipline, collaboration, and social awareness. Learners engage in performance-based tasks that test not only academic understanding but also creativity, resilience, and ethical decision-making. The MATATAG Curriculum ensures that learning remains streamlined and purposeful, avoiding overload while prioritizing mastery of foundational competencies. By the end of the quarter, Grade 6 learners emerge more prepared, self-assured, and equipped with the core skills needed to face the challenges of the next academic level.

What’s New in our Daily Lesson Log or DLL for School Year 2025-2026

The Daily Lesson Log (DLL) is an essential tool in the Philippine education system that supports effective teaching and learning. Its primary purpose is to help teachers organize and structure their daily lessons in alignment with the curriculum, particularly the Most Essential Learning Competencies (MELCs) or the updated Matatag Curriculum.

By providing a clear guide for each day’s instruction, including learning objectives, content, strategies, and assessment. The DLL ensures that lessons are delivered systematically and meaningfully. It also serves as a form of documentation and accountability, allowing school heads and DepEd supervisors to monitor classroom instruction and ensure curriculum coverage. Additionally, the DLL encourages teacher reflection, helping educators assess the effectiveness of their teaching methods and identify areas for improvement. Overall, the DLL plays a vital role in enhancing instructional quality and ensuring that learners receive well-prepared and competency-based education.
