The Schools Division of Imus City conducted a validation process at Alapan I Elementary School to see firsthand if preparations made passed all indicators listed in the School Safety Assessment Tool for the pilot study on the limited face-to-face classes.
The SDO validation team, headed by Assistant Division Superintendent Dr. Ivan Brian L. Inductivo visited the school on February 7 and provided technical assistance on the indicators not yet achieved by the school.

“We are here to provide technical assistance. Hindi naman para ipinpoint lahat ng kulang. Konting kembot na lang naman kayo kaya naman kayo ang mapalad na napili para sa Regional Monitoring and Validation,” said Dr. Inductivo.
The school, headed by Principal Dr. Divina Narvaez and lead persons for face-to-face classes preparations, started accomplishing the specified changes and improvements still needing to be done right after.
With the support and supervision of the parent supervisor Mrs. Rochelle S. Balete, it is hoped that the school will pass the Regional validation to push through the reopening of the school for expanded limited face-to-face classes on February 14 given that the seal of approval from the City Health Office was already granted.

Perhaps the most pressing challenges the school faces are that of ensuring that all learners become competent readers. Learners who experienced problems in reading quickly fall behind their more skilled classmates in their ability to decode and comprehend text. The initiative is in response to the rapidly changing learning environment of present and future learners and will introduce aggressive reforms to globalize the quality of basic education in the Philippines.
