This Daily Lesson Log has been thoroughly reviewed to ensure it meets the required competencies for Kindergarten Term 2. It includes a total of 10 DLLs, covering Weeks 1 to 10, in the 2026–2027 school calendar.
The primary teaching methodologies used are play-based experiential learning, integrated thematic instruction, and differentiated instruction. We are pleased to share these ready-made Daily Lesson Logs for Kindergarten with you. However, we highly recommend revising them to add your personal touch. This set covers only Term 2 of the Kindergarten Matatag Curriculum.

What’s New in the Matatag Kindergarten Curriculum?
In Quarter 2, Kindergarten students under the MATATAG Curriculum dive into the theme “Exploring Our Community.” They embody and internalize key values. These key values, such as discipline, respect, honesty, friendship, and care, are developed by engaging in classroom and school-based experiences. Through age-appropriate activities like following rules, recognizing roles within their community, and participating in cultural celebrations, the curriculum fosters holistic growth, critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration in young learners.
These competencies are delivered through a play-based, learner-centered approach, ensuring that activities are developmentally appropriate and culturally responsive. The curriculum emphasizes the integration of learning across domains, fostering holistic development in preparation for formal elementary education.
Tips for Effective Use of DLL in ILAW Format
It is recommended that you always review the competencies covered in the Daily Lesson Log (DLL) you have downloaded. Revise the content, activities, and other parts of the DLL if necessary to ensure effective teaching. We also want to emphasize the importance of localizing your lessons. Adding localization creates a greater sense of inclusivity for your learners. Whenever possible, adapt the DLL to reflect your own teaching context and identity.
