DepEd Sample of Class and Teacher’s Program or Time Allotment in Three-Term School Calendar

School personnel may modify the Sample Class and Teacher Program in terms of format and required teacher/class information if necessary. They must base the Class Program on the actual needs of the school, teacher, and situation, as long as they do not remove any required information. DepEd strictly enforces the signatories in the Class and Teacher’s Program. In this School Year 2026-2027, the time allotment for every learning area averages 60 minutes. On this page, you can find the official sample of the DepEd Class Program with the required number of minutes for the learning area for the three-term program based on DepEd Order 09 (s. 2026).

The school must first submit the Class Program and Teacher’s Schedule to the PSDS In-Charge. This is to review to ensure strict compliance with DepEd Order No. 10 series of 2025. Importantly, the details must be reviewed regarding the time allotment and with 8-hour teachers’ working hours. As in the previous directive, the teacher must spend at least 8 hours at school, 6 hours for classroom instruction, and 2 hours for paperwork. To help you make the most of your valuable time, we offer ready-to-use Daily Lesson Logs (DLL) that you can use. The actual time allotment and subject arrangement shall be based on the school’s needs and available time. Most importantly, all competencies per term, as prescribed in the Budget of Work (BoW), must be completed.

Kindergarten Time Allotment

Kindergarten follows a class program known as the Blocks of Time. Following the daily routine helps children feel safe while supporting and encouraging them. Also, they encourage working cooperatively with others. The Class Program of Kindergarten outlines an indicative schedule, description of activities, and sample competencies that can be developed in each block of time.

The Kindergarten teacher may be flexible in the use of class time to meet learning objectives for the day and to give children ample time to explore and discover what they can do. In addition to the daily activities, two forty-five-minute sessions should be allotted per week for Circle Time Activities.

DepEd Sample of Class Program for Key Stage 1 (Grade 1-3)

In the implementation of the Matatag Curriculum, Grade 1, 2, and 3 must follow a class program that includes five (5) regular subjects and three intervention programs. Remember that teachers grade the regular learning areas, while they do not grade the intervention programs (e.g., ARAL Program and HGP). Learners stay in the classroom for 300 minutes of instruction and take a 1-hour break (recess and lunch time).

For schools with two-shift classes, the most important requirement is to meet the 40-minute classroom discussion time for each regular subject. Nevertheless, the intervention is a vital part of the daily classroom schedule. However, it is up to the school to decide the exact start and end times of classes.

Teacher’s Program and Sample Program for Multi-grade

The Department of Education also included sample class programs for multigrade schools in DepEd Order No. 009, s. 2026. These sample schedules serve as guides for schools that handle two or more grade levels in one classroom. They show how teachers can organize learning areas, time allotments, and the ARAL Program while managing multigrade settings. The samples are not mandatory, but they provide practical models that schools may adjust based on their actual context and resources.
