The teachers are now in the hard times preparing lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessment activities for Catch-Up Fridays. The Department of Education released the Catch-Up Fridays Teaching Guide for prepared instructional materials. The Department requires every teacher to submit their prepared teaching guide for Catch-Up Fridays. This will serve as a Daily Lesson Log (DLL) or Lesson Plan (LP) for every Friday. We collected here the ready-made Teaching Guide for Catch-Up Fridays for March 1, 2024. This nationwide intervention every Friday is composed of different components.
- National Reading Month (January): Spark a love for reading with DEAR (Drop Everything and Read) sessions, book clubs, and creative writing activities.
- Values Formation (February-March): Foster respect, responsibility, and compassion through role-playing, storytelling, and community service projects.
- Health and Wellness (April-May): Promote healthy habits and environmental awareness through fun fitness challenges, nutrition workshops, and eco-friendly initiatives.
- Peace Education (June-July): Build a culture of peace and understanding through conflict resolution workshops, art projects, and peacebuilding activities.
