We understand that with changes happening in other grade levels, you, as a Grade 6 teacher, might feel uncertain about what to follow. Also, this ambiguity is what we aim to address by offering you our ready-to-use Daily Lesson Log (DLL) for Grade 6 in Term 2.
Remember, based on DepEd Order No. 10, series of 2024, Grade 6 will shift to the Revised K-10 Curriculum. The Daily Lesson Log (DLL) is an important teaching tool that serves as a clear guide for our classroom interactions. It is used in various parts of the teaching-learning process, including pre-discussion, the actual lesson, and assessment. In addition, this simple document is considered a plan that outlines how, when, and what to teach to achieve meaningful learning. The DLLs we uploaded here are safe to download and use. You are also free to revise their content or teaching methodologies to better fit your teaching style.
What’s New in our Daily Lesson Log or DLL for School Year 2026-2027
The Daily Lesson Log (DLL) is an essential tool in the Philippine education system that supports effective teaching and learning. Its primary purpose is to help teachers organize and structure their daily lessons in alignment with the curriculum, particularly the Revised K-10 Curriculum.
By providing a clear guide for each day’s instruction, including learning objectives, content, strategies, and assessment. The DLL ensures that lessons are delivered systematically and meaningfully. It also serves as a form of documentation and accountability, allowing school heads and DepEd supervisors to monitor classroom instruction and ensure curriculum coverage. Additionally, the DLL encourages teacher reflection, helping educators assess the effectiveness of their teaching methods and identify areas for improvement.
It also promotes collaboration among teachers, allowing them to share and align lesson plans to maintain consistency across classes. Overall, the DLL plays a vital role in enhancing instructional quality and ensuring that students receive well-prepared and competency-based education.
Grade 6 Subjects Covered for Quarter 2
School Year 2026–2027 will be the final year of using the newly revised K to 10 Basic Education Curriculum for Grade 6. We designed the content of our Daily Lesson Log to meet your instructional needs based on the ILAW Framework. However, we are unable to list each competency for Grade 6 Term 2. Instead, we have included the content and performance standards to give you a general overview of what the DLL covers.

ILAW Framework
Planning impactful lessons does not require overcomplicating your teaching process. The Department of Education (DepEd) uses the ILAW Framework—a practical, streamlined approach to lesson design that keeps learning focused, manageable, and effective. Whether you use different terminology in your existing lesson plans or follow DepEd templates, as long as you cover these four core components, your teaching aligns perfectly with standard pedagogical practices.
You begin with Intentions, where you focus on unpacking the learning competencies. Before stepping into the classroom, you verify whether the goals are clear and manageable within your time period while considering your students’ prior knowledge, skills, and context. Next, you build the Learning Experience by choosing instructional patterns—such as Pre-During-Post, 6Es, or 5As—that help learners reach those target intentions. You keep these experiences simple and purpose-driven, knowing that every lesson does not need technology, group work, or complex games to work.
To ensure your students grasp the concepts, you incorporate Assessing Learning continuously throughout the lesson instead of waiting until the end. You track comprehension using quick quizzes, exit slips, discussions, drills, or simple teacher observations. Finally, you determine your Ways Forward through post-lesson reflection. You document short notes on what worked and what failed, using classroom evidence to decide whether you should reteach, remediate, enrich, or move ahead to the next topic.
