Daily Lesson Log (DLL) Quarter 1 Week 1 (June 16 – June 20, 2025) allows teachers to reflect on what students need to learn, how students learn, and how best to facilitate the learning process. In Week 1 of Quarter 1 under the Matatag Curriculum, learners across all grade levels begin with foundational lessons centered on self-awareness and identity. Kindergarten pupils focus on recognizing their uniqueness and identifying family members, using simple expressions and creative activities.
Learning Highlights for Week 1 of Quarter 1
The curriculum aims to foster a strong sense of self and belonging, laying the groundwork for more complex social and academic learning in the coming weeks. In Week 1 of Quarter 1 under the Matatag Curriculum, learners across all grade levels begin with foundational lessons centered on self-awareness and identity. Kindergarten pupils focus on recognizing their uniqueness and identifying family members, using simple expressions and creative activities. Grade 1 learners explore who they are within the context of their families and community, describing themselves and their roles through drawings or oral sharing.
In Grade 2, the emphasis is on understanding familiar routines and responsibilities at home and in school, encouraging learners to talk about their daily experiences. Grade 3 students begin to recognize and appreciate community helpers, identifying their roles and contributions through interactive discussions and activities. For pilot levels like Grade 4 and Grade 7, Week 1 introduces Makabansa themes, guiding learners to reflect on their identity and cultural values as Filipinos.
