Daily Lesson Log (DLL) Term 1 Week 8 (August 3-7, 2026) allows teachers to reflect on what students need to learn, how students learn, and how best to facilitate the learning process. They aim to empower teachers to provide quality teaching that recognizes the diversity of students in the classroom. Furthermore, it allows the teacher to guide, mentor, and support learners in developing and evaluating their learning across the curriculum.

Highlights of Week 8 of Term 1

Week 8 of Term 1 (August 3–7, 2026) provides teachers with the opportunity to continue strengthening learners’ mastery of the Most Essential Learning Competencies (MELCs) under the MATATAG Curriculum. Daily classroom instruction should focus on reinforcing previously learned concepts, addressing learning gaps through appropriate interventions, and providing meaningful activities that promote critical thinking, collaboration, and active participation. Teachers are encouraged to use formative assessments to monitor learners’ progress and adjust instruction based on the needs of their classes.

As August marks the observance of Buwan ng Wika and History Month, schools are also encouraged to integrate language, culture, heritage, and Philippine history into classroom lessons and learning activities. Teachers may incorporate contextualized discussions, reading selections, writing tasks, creative performances, and collaborative projects that promote appreciation of the Filipino language, national identity, and historical awareness. By embedding these celebrations into daily instruction, educators can make learning more engaging while helping learners develop a deeper understanding of the country’s rich cultural and historical heritage.
