Are you tired of preparing for your lesson? The Department of Education requires all teaching personnel to have a pre-planned lesson before class begins. The main goal of the Department of Education (DepEd) in requiring teachers to have a lesson plan is to ensure effective learning. Lesson planning enables teachers to set learning goals for their students. It helps teachers ensure that students achieve these goals. By planning lessons, teachers can ensure that daily classroom activities lead to the achievement of targeted learning outcomes. On this page, you can download the Daily Lesson Log (DLL) for Week 4 of Term 1 crafted using the ILAW Framework.
Daily Lesson Log (DLL) Quarter 1 Week 4 serves as a guide for teachers in planning effective and meaningful classroom instruction. It enables teachers to reflect on what learners need to learn, how they learn best, and the most appropriate strategies to facilitate learning. The DLL supports quality teaching that recognizes the diverse needs of learners, promotes student success, and encourages the use of varied instructional and formative assessment strategies anchored on the ILAW Framework—Interactive Learning, Active Engagement, and Well-being. Through this framework, teachers are empowered to create learner-centered experiences that foster critical thinking, collaboration, inclusivity, and holistic development while guiding, mentoring, and supporting learners throughout the learning process.
Expected Activities in Week 4 of Term 1 (July 6-10, 2026)
During Week 4 of Term 1, teachers will administer the First Teacher-made Summative Test (ST1) to measure how well learners have mastered the competencies taught during the first 15 instructional days. After the test, teachers should check, record, and analyze the results to identify learners’ strengths and the areas where they need additional support.
Based on the results, teachers should provide timely feedback and plan suitable remediation, enrichment, and instructional adjustments for the succeeding lessons. Moreover, all assessment activities should follow the Classroom Assessment Policy. The ILAW Framework is to ensure a fair, valid, and meaningful evaluation of learner progress.
