Daily Lesson Log (DLL) Term 2 Week 4 (September 16-18, 2026) allows teachers to reflect on what students need to learn, how students learn, and how best to facilitate the learning process. They aim to empower teachers to provide quality teaching that recognizes the diversity of students in the classroom, strives for student success, and allows for the use of a variety of instructional and formative assessment strategies. Further, it allows the teacher to guide, mentor, and support learners in developing and evaluating their learning across the curriculum.

Adoption of the ILAW Framework in DLL
The ILAW Framework is a learner-centered approach to lesson planning that helps teachers deliver meaningful and responsive instruction. It starts with Intentions, which define the learning goals, objectives, and success criteria that learners need to achieve. These goals provide clear direction for both teachers and learners. Next, teachers design Learning Experiences that actively engage learners in meaningful tasks and interactions. Through these activities, learners build their knowledge, skills, and understanding.
Teachers then use Assessment to collect evidence of learning and check whether learners have met the intended outcomes. Based on the results, they identify learners’ strengths and areas that need support. Finally, teachers plan Ways Forward to address learners’ needs. These may include remediation, enrichment activities, follow-up tasks, and teacher reflection. As a continuous process, the ILAW Framework connects planning, teaching, assessment, and intervention. As a result, it supports learner growth and helps improve learning outcomes.
